Our Story
More Than a Certification. It's Part of Our DNA.
Long before supplier diversity programs and business certifications existed, Media+ was founded on a simple belief: talented people deserve the opportunity to lead.
In 1983, Kathy Neukirchen and Lani Jacobson launched Media+ during a time when female agency ownership was uncommon and women were often underrepresented in leadership positions. They built an independent media agency where media strategy was valued, people had a voice, and advancement was earned through contribution, expertise, and impact.
More than four decades later, that vision remains intact.
When current Managing Partners Lauren Ramaska and Mary Ann Grajek assumed ownership of Media+, they weren’t outsiders stepping into leadership positions. They had grown up within the company itself.
Mary Ann began her career as an office manager. Lauren started as a receptionist. Through years of hard work, mentorship, and leadership, they eventually became owners of the agency they helped build.
Today, Media+ remains independently owned and 100% women-owned, carrying forward the entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to opportunity, and people-first culture that inspired its founding.
